To earn the Made Well™️ Badge, a product must meet at least three of the following key criteria:

1. Canadian Manufacturing & Sourcing 🇨🇦

✅ The product must be at least 70% manufactured or assembled in Canada.
✅ If sourced internationally, the company must disclose sourcing origins and demonstrate fair trade partnerships.

2. Ethical Labor & Fair Trade 🤝

✅ The business follows fair labor practices, ensuring ethical wages and working conditions.
✅ The business is not involved in forced labor, child labor, or exploitative manufacturing.

3. Sustainability & Environmental Impact 🌱

✅ The product minimizes waste and packaging, using recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable materials.
✅ The company actively reduces its carbon footprint by choosing local materials or low-emission transport methods.
✅ The business uses eco-friendly production processes with minimal water and energy waste.

4. Ingredient & Material Transparency 🔎

✅ The company provides clear and honest labeling, disclosing all ingredients or materials used.
✅ The product is free from known harmful additives banned in other countries but still used in North America (e.g., Titanium Dioxide, BPA, PFAS).
✅ The business avoids misleading marketing terms and greenwashing.

5. Health & Safety Compliance 🛡️

✅ The product meets Health Canada safety standards and undergoes rigorous quality control.
✅ It is free from known allergens unless explicitly stated and certified.
✅ The company participates in voluntary recalls or independent third-party testing to ensure ongoing safety.

6. Social Responsibility & Community Impact ❤️

✅ The business actively supports local communities, Indigenous groups, or Canadian charities.
✅ A percentage of profits goes toward social or environmental causes.
✅ The company provides educational content on ethical consumerism and sustainability.

Application Process

2️⃣ Provide product details (origin, sourcing, materials, certifications).
3️⃣ Third-party review may be conducted for verification.
4️⃣ Earn the Made Well™️ Badge and gain special platform recognition.
